Here is my story with the facts about the future of Mandala Quilting Company.

My time here at Mandala Quilting Company has come to an opportunity for a new beginning. For the last three years I have grown so much I am now expanding the business. I'm now offering new services that are listed below.

One big change is I have added a ten-needle embroidery machine for personalizing quilt tops, for example: names on baby quilts, graduation quilts, and making labels for all of your beautiful quilts. I'm also adding binding services and piecing backing fabric.

After three years of being at the Scotts Valley location, the option to extend my lease another two years came up. I had to make a serious business decision, which was very hard to do, because I have been very successful here. That said, in order to provide all the new services, I realized I need more space. I am choosing to expand the business to something bigger. In the meantime, I will be working out of my house until the new place becomes available.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, freedom to come and go as we please has changed. We now have to deal with social distancing. That said, starting April 1, 2021, Mandala Quilting Company will be offering a free pick-up and delivery service on Fridays. When you finish your quilt top all you have to do is call and your name will be added to the Friday pick-up and delivery schedule. I will personally drop off and or pick up your quilts every Friday of each month at your home.

SERVICES

LONGARM QUILTING SERVICES

All longarm quilting services are completed on the APQS Millennium longarm with the Quilt Path computerized system that offers state of the art stitch and design precision. We have a large selection of quilting patterns and designs. With years of experience in the arts, I’m here to help you choose the designs and thread that will turn your quilt top into a treasured quilt.

QUILT BACKING

All backing must be at least 3 inches larger than the quilt top on all 4 sides.

If you send backing that is not large enough, I will not be able to load it to the longarm frame without adding additional yardage. To add additional yardage that will be needed for the backing, there will be an additional fee to cover my time.

QUILT TRIMMING

I trim and square up all quilts, with your permission, at no extra charge. If you do not want your quilt trimmed, please let me know.

PREPARING YOUR QUILT TOP AND BACKING

There is no need to press the quilt top and backing. All quilts are steamed and pressed by Mandala Quilting Company at no extra cost to you. I do this to achieve the best results for quilting.

Please try to trim all loose threads from the quilt top on both sides. Dark threads will show through white fabric if not trimmed prior to quilting.

Backing must be at least 3 inches larger than the quilt top on all four sides. This allows me to load your quilt properly to the frame. Additional fees will be charged if I have to add additional yardage to make the backing large enough to load.

For best results, quilt top and backing should be as close to square as possible. If the quilt is wonky, it makes my job harder. As you all know, I will do my best to make it beautiful.

QUILT BATTING

Mandala Quilting Company stocks high quality batting for your convenience.

This will enable you to purchase only the exact amount you need for your quilt. You will save money in the long run as we do not charge for batting by the yard.

Quilters Dream batting is preferred to achieve the very best stitch quality on your quilt.

BINDING SERVICES

Machine sewing binding to top of quilt and hand sewing to the back is $.50 per linear inch with fabric you provide.

Machine sewing binding to both top and back of quilt is $.25 per linear inch with fabric you provide.

Binding strips will be cut and sewn together at no extra charge.

NOTE: We do not make bias binding or apply on curved or scalloped edges.

QUILTING PRICES (Includes Thread)

Open Edge-to-Edge All Over Design -- $.02 to $.03 Per Square Inch -- Depends Upon the Design of Choice

Dense Edge-to-Edge All Over Design -- $.03 to $05 Per Square Inch

Semi-Custom (custom border and edge-to-edge in center) -- $.04 to $.08 Per Square Inch

There is a $75.00 minimum charge for anything smaller than standard size quilts.

EMBROIDERY SERVICE

Custom Embroidery Includes :
